Oh dear, I'm sorry! :( I didn't think of that, the Dean not seeming overly concerned about Cas. I did like Cas apologizing to Dean, he's never really apologized to him before, and IMO it was much needed in this case--because I don't think Dean deserved that beating, Cas had unrealistic expectations of him, and what Dean needed was support or sympathy for his burdens, IMO, not that), I saw that as a D/C moment ( ... )

But the problem is, Cas needs to understand that Dean giving in was not meant as a personal affront on Cas, a betrayal of Cas, it was simply the gesture of a man who can't take it anymore, it was all about DEAN, not Cas....and besides, Cas still hasn't come to terms with or admitted the fact that HE too shares some guilt in the coming about of the apocalypse, in letting Sam go, he TOO played a role, and while Dean and Sam have both sufficiently admitted to their own roles and guilt, Cas still hasn't, he still outwardly pins everything on Sam and Dean--which is wrong. Yes, he has given up a lot for Sam and Dean, but it wouldn't have been necessary if he hadn't let Sam out in the first place--and he needs to face up to that, the only thing that has really bugged me about Cas's storyline this season is that the writers have just ignored that entirely...*sigh* And Cas should have been better at recognizing how much Dean was hurting, how broken and depressed HE was. Even in the midst of his utter dejection in 5x17, Dean did still manage ( ... )

I know Dean didnt do anything TO him, or anyone else, we all saw him breaking down slowly the entire season, and I knew he was going buckle under all that weight soon, but I guess Cas took it so hard cuz it was a bad time for him too, he'd just found out that God didnt give a shit, (that was a fucking big deal for him) and he couldnt bear Dean giving up too.
And I can see why he took it so personally... for a while, he was doing everything he did, helping the brothers, mostly cuz he felt it was the right thing to do, but in S5, imo, it was mainly for Dean's friendship or whatever it is. Also I can sympathise with Cas, cuz he's new to ~feeling and doesnt know how to deal with it still, one cant see or try to understand or judge him from human standards/pov.
