The chemistry from then is so good it has to come from somewhere.

There are times when I find I can't read a fic cause it clashes with the show too much, probably the more sappy ones. I think I need to see some relation to the characters in the show or at least an acceptable reason for why they are different, But usually if the stories good I enjoy them.

Completely know where you're coming from. I myself am a Dean/Cas shipper, but I can't read them sexing. It's just awkward to me lol. Like you said, I think their bond is something that's waaaay deeper than that. To me, it's definitely love, but one that doesn't involve sex. Pre-slash is about as far as I'll go.

Oh thank goodness, Im not the only weird one. :P I was so frustrated, cuz I adored them, and I saw them working, but just couldnt get myself to read smut without cringing. I now can, but it has to be written well, and the build up to it has to be convincing, PWP doesnt go down well with me, usually. But I still prefer pre-slash stuff.

Truth. Im very unlucky with my ships. Or im just drawn to couples that I know wont make it.
