Its been almost 4 days since I seen the eppy but my brain is still too mushy and excited to be coherent.
Every scene between Cas and Dean had so much unsaid in it. Cas's seething anger and glares, Dean's slutty comments and winks, so much to love.
Much as I love the brothers bond and it was so great to have them mend things, this ep was all about Cas for me. His anger and lost faith broke me yet again.
I don't think he had completly lost faith in Dean either, otherwise why would he have went up against those 5 angels at the end. And the way he finished the fight, the sort of weary way he let go of some of his anger, he knew Dean couldn't take any more. Cas has lost so much Dean really needs to show him some gratitude, show him he was right to put his faith in Dean, that even though he has lost so much it is worth it, that he is still there for Cas.
Can't put my emotions from this ep into words, it was too epic....so i'll just say i agree with pretty much all of your comments :)
I know I've been so wrapped up with the last ep I haven't even thought about the next one yet either.
Even with everything that has happened to Cas he really won't give up fighting will he. It may be a little wreckless, but he just keeps going. He did realise Dean had reached his limit.
I don't care what anyone else thinks I'm going to believe that it wasn't just Sam that casued Dean to change his mind. Everything Cas said to him had to be part of it as well. It wasn't just Sam he would have been letting down if he said yes, it would have made everything Cas has done for him meaningless, and after Cas not so subtly pointed this out to him, it had to have sunk in.
Oh and I have to mention the simmering anger again...cause well it was hot...yes Cas brings out the shallow perv in me...:)
I havent been excited about it also cuz we dont know if Cas is in it or not. Cas-less episodes bore me now. :(
Yes, like the big BAMF he is, I knew he was going to chuck all self-preservation and act rashly, and thats what happened. If he's going down, with everyone leaving him, then he's going to do it fighting, till the end.
I SO BADLY WANT TO BELIEVE THAT. And it might be true, that Cas' words and actions played a part in Dean finally coming to his senses but, I think it was mostly about Sammy, and Im okay with that, even if it hurts my shipper heart. When I fell for Dean/Cas I always knew they would break my heart, cuz Sam would always be the priority for Dean. :(
Lol, same for me. Cas seething, and eyefucking Dean was definitely the best bits of the episode. ;)
