If you are a woman, a city dweller, and a regular commuter, then most likely you've been the subject of overly zealous catcalls, wolf whistles, and hoots from the Kuyas and the Manongs of Metro Manila's streets.  Ever since I was old enough to ride jeeps, taxis, trains, and tricycles on my own, I'd been on the receiving end of the hirit bombs

HAHAHAHHAH!! grabe, hardcore yung sinabi ng mama eh. sana sinabi mo di ka mahilig sa pansit. LOL. how could people live with that ? i did! my ex boyfriend had a mouth fouler than any denizen lurking in the sidestreets of metro manila. you just get used to it i guess, which is wrong and since i wa actually in the middle of writing a quasi-feminist essay, natigilan ako sa post mo. hehe.

bumenta yung magsaing comment ni manong. the worst comment i ever had:

"Hoy, Ate Emo!! Maglaslas ka na lang!" --5 year old kid on a training bike in Marikina.

and the best:

"Sheena is...a PUNK ROCKER!" --teenage guy on a mountain bike in UP.

oo nga, medyo kainis nga yung mga ganyan. my sisters tell me the same stories as well. dapat magbaon ka na ng pepper spray. hahaha. "hello miss, pwedeng pa-kiss?.." ("spray") Ay p*tangina! Ang hapdi, ang hapdi! My eyes are burning! Nyhohohohhoho!!!
