Bookpost 2010

Because it was kind of fun keeping track last year...! Slight change-of-format, though, as last year's table was pain to count up totals in, and didn't allow for multiple rereads.

Wow! You've read so many books in three months. I thin I've only read about five (and definitely no more than ten). I think I spend too much time on the computer and watching TV. Although the rehearsals chewed up a lot of my free time.

I tend to read during breakfast and dinner because eating alone is boring, and I don't watch TV, so there's that time as well. It *is* mostly rereads though - new books take longer because I don't skim so much.

I just looked at my own list for the year (the year starting in September, mind you!) and I am nowhere near your totals. I must be the slowest reader on the planet! :) I'm currently reading my 42nd book, but they're all new to me, so that's how I'm justifying it!

On another note, The Mislaid Magician is on my TBR shelf. What did you think of it? Was it as amusing as the other two?

Also, there was a fourth 'Freedom' book by Anne McCaffrey? When did that happen???

Nah - most of these are YA, and old favourites to boot, so they go by really fast. New books definitely take longer... and 42 is a worthy total! Do you keep all yours once you've read them?

The Mislaid Magician is great, back to the letter format from Sorcery and Cecilia and definitely worth adding to your collection. I wish there were more of these. Hmm, I wonder if there is fic? :Goes off to look: Apparently not where it can be found.

Freedom's Ransom is quite readable, but I didn't actually remember it existed either, until I got that far in my bookshelf and there it was. I had definitely read it before, but don't actually remember buying it. Weird. The publication date on the flyleaf is 2002.
