This has been the first week of the rest of my life - Part 1

Jan 14, 2009 22:43

Ever get the feeling that you needed to stop your life and start over? I did - for most of last year in fact - and so now I've gone and done it. The jury is still out on whether it was the right decision or not, but it hasn't been disasterous yet, so fingers-crossed things will fall into place in the next few weeks...

The year that's gone )

moving house, work, not dead

I already miss you, but am thrilled at the idea you will now have more balance; and it is a short and cheap flight to see you! XX D

Likewise - but I plan to be back regularly, so suspect I'll still end up seeing people more often than I managed last year, despite the move.

I found a great house to rent though - walking distantce from work, shops and the waterfront (in different directions), plus living-in-Queensland essentials like air-conditioning, so visitors will be most welcome :)

It's good to see you popping up again. 2008 sounds like it was extremely hectic, especially at the end there! And good luck in your new job/home. :)

Thanks - I hope to be more active than I was last year for sure. I just couldn't seem to get the enthusiasm for more than lurking, but will hopefully have more time now.

I'll be up to visit some time soon I imagine!

I know the jury is still out, but from my little niche in your world, it sounds like the right new adventure in your life. I wish you the best and you know we're here if you need us

*totally teared up at the Taps bit, you guide you*

Excellent - i'll look forward to seeing you. It was definitely time to do something, and this one is looking good so far. I do want to make an effort to stay in touch with people, though - it was my job I needed to get away from, not my friends.

Good luck with the new job. It sounds like it was a good choice to make.

I hope that an interstate move suits you as much as it has suited me. :)

Thanks - it seems to be going well so far. Your posts about your move partly gave me the guts to go mine, so if it comes out as well I'll be happy indeed!
