Still goin'
Well, yesterday I moved into my dorm room here. I can't really say I'm a fan of the dorm I've been assigned. It's mostly full of high-school students and younger trade-school type students, so mostly around the ages of 18-19. Ich bin angekommen
Well, I made it to Japan. Somehow. I'm absolutely exhausted, and somewhat ill (bloody jetlag), and looking forward to getting to know my fellow program participants. Thanks, Carly, I think, for reminding me about the forums set up for CIEE Tokyo study abroad students. I started reading the thread about people's flights to and from Japan, and saw that someone had booked a flight back to the US on July 26th. Apparently we hate Frank Zappa here. Anyway, on a tip from Corey, I went to check my SPO today, and discovered that I have been approved my Macalester for study abroad in Spring of 2006. They still maintain that I have to be responsible for the program deposit myself, so I'll still have to go in and talk to them about that. But still. ( Read more... ) -
