Fabulous story; it had some amazing humour (Kurt's eventual explanations) mixed in with some really realistic angst. The end was heartbreaking though.

Thanks for suh an excellent fic!

Thank you! Alas, Kurt's explanations were all innocent and lol, but then things got all drama. Sorry I broke your heart. But thanks. :)

This was really great! While the reasons for Kurt's injuries eventually turned out to be innocent ones, I was really pleased to see how the people in his life - from his father to hell, Karofsky of all people, try as he might to deny his attraction to Kurt - were so worried and concerned for Kurt. I also loved how everybody's individual worry for Kurt started overlaying each other's to create this whole gigantic misunderstanding that ends up biting Finn's ass in the end (though I felt so bad for Finn while Burt was yelling at him x.x).

I hope to see more fic from you!~

Thank you. Alas, sweet and well-intentioned as it was, everyone's crazy protectiveness of Kurt didn't go very well in the end. Poor Finn. :/ Anyway, there probably will be!

Epically awesome as usual keep up the awesome work. I know you probably won't do it but I would love to see a continuation of this where Burt just keeps degenerating into a horrible person where every time Kurt gets hurt or bullied Finn always ends up worse off. The reason I see this so clearly is because with your Burt and how he said don't tell your mother seems like such a slippery slope and it gives me tons of plot bunnies and it I could actually write with any competency I would go with it but unfortunately I will just have to leave this bunny with you.

Hmm. That would be possible, but 1) I'm terrible at writing sequels, and 2) he did seem pretty shocked and horrified when he realized what he was doing. Really, if it gives you plot bunnies - go with it! Write! :)

Anyway, thank you!

Yeah its just that he rationalized it as being for Kurt that really got to me, and that he didn't really want to acknowledge that he was wrong so much as deny that it ever happened. I have this scene in my head where Carol and Finn are at the table with Kurt and Burt and Carole asks what happened to Finns' wrist and he says that it happened during football practice. I picture Burt just sitting there doing the whole deny, deny, deny. The only issue is I don't know how Kurt would react, probably excusing himself to the bathroom. If that did happen I see a mini-scene in the bathroom where Finn comes in and Kurt saying that he has never been afraid of his father before now, but Finn being the rationalizing idiot he is says that he was trying to protect Kurt. From there things kind of calm down, except another incident happens like Kurt getting jumped and Finn rescues him just a little to late so Kurt is banged up, enough to be painful but not life threatening. When they get back Burt sees Kurt and flips completely out and of course Finn ( ... )
