I wonder if they tried to get Shannon Doherty to come back for the show or not.

BWAHAHAHAHA hehehehehe.

Oh, wait, you were serious?

Brad Kern despises Shannen Doherty. He hates her with the fire of the thousand burning lesions that are spreading across his ass. He didn't ask her to come back, never contemplated asking her to come back, and didn't even ask her if they could use old photos of her for the house in the various scenes. He's stated he didn't ask, she's stated he didn't ask. Heck, he's even stated he would never have asked her back. He's probably bitter that she gets paid for every episode of the show even though she wasn't on the last five years of it.

Was this some special contract thing they has set up at the beginning? I really haven't read anything online about the situation so I didn't know things were that bad between them. Obviously you have so is there a good article to read that you know of offhand that would give a little background as to this hatred?

There are several TV Guide interviews with him about the finale of the show asking about Shannen and he flat out laughed when asked about it and said there was no way.

A lot of the information regarding Shannen's deal with the show can be found at Television Without Pity. They also link around to her various fan sites. She was asked in an interview if she had been asked and she said she hadn't been as well. She posts on one of her fan sites forums (shannendoherty.net I think...).

funny how most shows she leaves have folks that feel the same way. Not surprised at all that she wasn't in the finale, but it was still a disappointment.

I really liked the finale. I love the idea that they all had kids and the little girl at the end was a nice touch. I especially like that they didn't try to just put make-up on Holly Marie Combs to make her look like an older Piper and actually found an older actress to play the elderly Piper. I thought that was wonderful!

I'm going to miss the show something fierce, but all good things must come to an end at some point. I wish they'd make some Charmed movies in the future, but I know that is unlikely too.

Wow... I didn't realize it was a different actress. I thought it was weird they used her to dress her up old but not Leo. Nice, they did a real nice job on this. I did enjoy the finale but felt the same... to see it end but ready for it too.

Yeah, I was looking to see if that was actually them in make-up but it didn't look it. I noticed that when she was reading to her granddaughter at the end, she was at the very end of the Book of Shadows. I wonder if they managed to fill it all up. I'd love to get hold of that book. :) Just like I want the manifest from Friday the 13th: The Series too.

Just gonna have to get all the DVD collections as they come out and watch them over and over. I just lent my mother season 1 so I can try to get her hooked. ;)

Actually, they just add pages to the book as they need to. Melinda Warren (aka she who doesn't know wtf a Zoo is) commented that the book was so much bigger than when she had it when they brought her back in the first season.

Thanks. Sometimes you just need a day to do nothing but what you want to. :)

I have a friend that just started EQ2 again. We both tried it for a month when it came out, but we didn't like it at all. He said it's lots better now.

Agree? Disagree?

I'm playing EQ (1) again.

I've been playing since last July or August so I can't judge from the beginning but there have definitely been improvements in the game. A little after I started they adjusted the combat system which caused a lot of people to jump ship but it just took some getting used to and it works fine now. They have and AA system in place now and unlike in EQ where you have to spend you XP towards AA or Adventure level, both advance together. They are making changes to crafting so there's no subcombines. Not sure I like this but right now it's only in T7 and a few new T1 receipes they tossed out. You also get to choose your subclass from the start now. No waiting til 10 to choose a class and then til 20 to get the subclass only to find you don't like it. That makes things a lot better. To give you and idea of the variety I've seen, here are my characters ( ... )
