So, Halloween. Providing links to things that go well with this particular holiday is the least I can do:

Music:

The entire Garlands (1982) album from Cocteau Twins is somewhat perfectly *shaped* for the Halloween season, if you ask me. It's a fantastic album, in any case. Here's the track "Garlands" from the album with selfsame title.

I'll have to take a look at some of those horror movies. The only one I really know about is Jacob's Ladder.

I'll recommend some viewing. I watched this a few days ago and I have to say, it's possibly the only scary horror film to have been released in recent years. For me, at least. Paranormal Activity 2 is doing the rounds at cinema now but I gave the first movie a go a few days back. The atmosphere was very well managed and the low budget worked completely in its favour. Go check it out if you haven't already. :P

Getting back into my horrors as of late. >.>

Ooh, yes, I've watched Paranormal Activity which, yes, is quite a solid and good horror movie and effective in what it sets out to do: I especially liked the scene where her boyfriend went up in the attic and found that burned picture of her where it possibly couldn't be. No monster right in that scene, but oh so potent in the creepiness factor, what with the 'how the hell did it end up *there?*' D:

If you have more recs (not necessarily only in horror, but other genres as well) don't be shy to throw suggestions after me. :)

Horror is good for your soul and brain. It keeps some of us semi-sane. ;D
