TOO GOOD TO LAST: a cancelled shows comment ficathon
*because the people who said to have loved and lost is better than never having loved at all have never suffered through the fall tv season
WELCOME! Have you too felt the sting of having loved something and lost it way, way too soon? Come fic your feelings out! Unresolved plot arcs, unfinished seasons, cliffhangers, ships that never went anywhere, ships that never got to leave the dock? Come fic your feelings out! We've all felt the sting of losing a show we loved, so prompt and have fun!
RULES:
01. WHAT COUNTS AS A SHOW "GONE TOO SOON"?
- For the purpose of this ficathon, only shows with a maximum of two seasons qualifies. And since I'm judging this on a heartbreak scale, they have to be shows with unscheduled cancellations. So, for example, Life on Mars (UK), as beautiful as it is, totally planned on having 2 seasons and wrapping up the storyline, so it wouldn't be eligible. Life on Mars (US), though, totally qualifies. Yes, it's totally arbitrary but given the (fairly) recent releases about all the shows that got axed, the point of this ficathon is to recover from stories that never got told. Shows that plan to end within 2 seasons are (hopefully) wrapping everything up by then. (And that mostly applies to UK shows.)
02. WHAT CAN I PROMPT?
- Anything. Gen, ships, slash, anything, be my guest. Be sure to use appropriate trigger warnings if you're requesting triggery stuff.
