+ I finally finished S2 of The Wire after dallying for about two months. I just started S3 and !!! excited. What are your favourite seasons of The Wire? Just for my own reference.

The other characters in the Sobotka storyline are so interesting, and Ziggy's so static. Like, dude, do something other than fuck up, please. And we never understood why he was a fuck up or what his purpose was. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOU.

That said, I also think that S2 had trouble linking everything together. I'm still not sure about how the girls link up to the smuggled drugs (although the link between the drugs and the fenced merchandise was clear). It was too much of a red-tape clusterfuck in them showing us how harbor patrol got homicide involved got the team involved got the FBI involved, and oh, yeah, there's a snitch. Messy.

But at the end of the day, I do really like what S2 tried to do because any time you want to discuss the fate of the union as a thing in America, I'm down. And Frank in that storyline is actually A+.

(Also: Ziggy and his fucking duck? Like that warranted seven minutes of screen time?)

RE: + I am starting another Farscape "rewatch". My issue with Farscape has always been that I pay attention to the John/Aeryn scenes and space out during everything else. This time will be different (I say)! This time, I will pay attention! Like a normal adult watching television!

But there is so much leather, dry humping, sexy violence and heavy breathing. There's no way to pay attention to all the rest of Farscape with all the friction going on. It's just . . . uhh, nobody has any sleeves at all! I'm pretty sure Aeryn got pregnant though the eyes!

Maybe you should wear sunglasses while you're watching? Let's not become unplanned eye-fornication pregnancy statistics.
