I started writing this entry on Tuesday, during which I was interrupted by dinner, after which I promptly passed the hell out on the couch watching TV. I haven't had the time or energy to continue it until today, after not having a day off in 3 or so weeks.

I've had a much needed relaxing day today. I woke up leisurely with Noah and we hung out and ate breakfast until he had to go in to the pharmacy. I have a ton of things to catch up here, and, since I've actually had two days off (in a row!) this holiday weekend, I'd figure I'd try and journal a bit. Going to try and break this up into a couple entries instead of one big long one.

So, the horse trial two weeks ago!

KY Horse Park schooling was cancelled due to rain and bad footing, but, after a mad scheduling scramble, it was agreed that we would all trailer to Diana's farm to school in her outdoor instead. It wasn't a perfect option, but at least it would get us off the farm and jumping some new fences ( Read more... )

I've had a much less busy week this week, and we have no big plans this weekend, so I am soaking up the relaxation time while I can. The next few weekends will be taken up with working and schooling cross country. We're planning to go to a mini-trial in KY on May 12th with some others from the barn. It should be fun! Had yet another fantastic jumping lesson with Diana yesterday. She worked on my position a lot, and getting Ringo to be relaxed and supple (always!). At one point she said, "try and get him to trot as slow as you possibly can" and then BAM!
