A new era...
On Thursday, May 15th, in the words of a great writer (Snoopy): "It was a dark and stormy night." I was returning home from my Dad's assisted living home, which is 25 miles of mostly interstate highway driving, and some of that in the downright boonies. I am trying so very hard to shake this, to get rid of this pain and empty feeling. It is indescribable. I think it's particularly hard because there is no one else here who REALLY gets it or understands. I haven't been around lately because, as usual (what the heck? usual? why?) my life has been a virtual hurricane. I am tired all of the time, very anemic, and the prescription iron tablets my doctor gave me didn't set well with me when I first started them, so I haven't taken them in about a month. Why am I depressed?
I am constantly asked why a wonderful person like I am is depressed. Well, in addition to really believing that I have a neurotransmitter deficiency (low serotonin and norepinephrine), I honestly feel my family has contributed to my illness and subsequent lack of success in life ( Read more... )
