I love hearing people's personal canons too! There's always so much that is really creative there.

If you like Shikamaru stories, maybe you've read this, but you might like the story Walk Through Shadow. The author does an amazing job of fleshing out the world of Naruto, especially the Naras. Her other stories are very good too.

1) Her favorite art period is the Renaissance. As such, she really, really loves Italy. She loves Rome for The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa. But why is another story, and for once, one that has nothing (well, very little) to do with a job ( ... )

Sophie loving Italy makes total sense. The art, the fashion, the history.

3) She can ski, the alps being a great place to grift when one is in their teens.

I can just see Sophie as a teen with big sunglasses and spandex pants. (couture, of course.)

She thinks the story might have involved a trip to a park and meeting lovely strangers, but isn't sure. She has, she knows, always been a lovely stranger herself, and never the one who meets them.

What a great way to phrase it. And are you referencing Sophie's World?
