I know what you mean about drifting away from certain fandoms, or LJ in particular. I hardly use my own journal anymore, either. :/ I'm still active in fandom other places, but not much in anime/manga anymore. And while I don't have a toddler to take care of, I'm in grad school now, and that's probably almost as big a time-suck! It's kinda sad. But, life marches on, circumstances change, etc. That's the way it goes.

I'm still lurkin' around, reading your posts, so I won't be defriending. But go ahead and defriend me, if you like! I never get offended by stuff like that.

Instead of a child, it's my new job that's been keeping me away from LJ and fandom, but I think I know how you feel. For what it's worth, I always like hearing about adventures in parenting. :)

It's your journal, post anything you like, I'll still read it. :) I have one friend on my list who ONLY posts about her kids, because that's the only thing in her life anymore, and even though I can't stand kids, I read anyway because I've known her for ages and it's a great reminder about why I don't want any.
