Fear, holy fire and the subtleties of contingency miracles

I'm scared.

This touch electric speaks to something old and buried in the back under a dust-covered tarp. An old and terrifying treasure not to be brought out until the time was right. A contigency miracle.

Miracles are scary, especially the subtle ones grounded in everyday flesh. The ones that have burnt you with the fringes of their holy fire.
