I have learned that nobody will hire you if you tell them you have been to jail or what you really are. I find many of the 'drones' here do not approve of escaped convicts or showing them that I am made of plankton

Yes. I am a collective of plankton with one consciousness, however I was originally one organism without any intelligence or power. This body belonged to a prisoner I had killed about the time I'd first met Jolyne.
