I got an early birthday present today - it was Blind Guardian's new album 'At The Edge of Time'. Now, it may have been on a CD of questionable legality and the guy was going to give it to me anyway, but, meh. XD
Haven't listened to Blind Guardian that much recently. A good 70% of their stuff is pretty mediocre, in my opinion, but there some good ( Read more... )

Listen up, buddy. You need to come to Finland, because it's pathetic that we haven't met IRL yet. One good way to save money is not to buy so many toys. =P

(Though that Barrow-Wight is freaking sweet.)

But really. We must be nerdy heretics together, and what better locale than Finland? ;)

But... But I NEED them! D:
I promise to do my best to go! I'll even buy a Finnish phrase book! And a Richard Dawkins plushie. :p

That thing with Peter and Colin is up on Youtube. Just sayin' ;) I found it very amusing. There are Whovians there too, and the host is really rude to them.

My two cents on the matter... the_tabitha September 29 2010, 02:18:10 UTC
I am wondering about the proposed Barrow Downs' meet up extravaganza in Finland next year. I'd like to go, but I cannot guarantee that I will a) have money and b) have the competence to pull off a trip abroad.Planning a trip abroad (or within a country) is quite simple, really. Especially if you are travelling to some place where you don't have to worry about housing and feeding yourself. I'm pretty sure that the Finns have got that sort of thing covered for everybody who is going. How expensive could a plane ticket from one part of Europe to another really be anyway? Probably not as much as plane tickets from Anchorage to Seattle to Houston to London. ;)If you really want to go somewhere that badly you try your darnedest to work and save up as much money as you possibly can. I spent a summer at one woman's house playing nanny to her four children and by the end of it I had enough money for airfare and that's it. It was hard work, but I wanted to go *that badly*. I also hardly spent any money for two years, but that's just me ( ... )
