This reminds me strongly of a scene in All in the Family. If you're not familiar with it, All in the Family was an American sitcom from the 70s that was a bit radical for poking at social issues of various sorts. Basically about a far right dad who's daughter is engaged to a far left guy.
Someone, I think the dad's wife, goes to a Catholic church. He's protestant and freaks out about Catholic cooties, leans over anxiously/panicked and cries "you didn't eat any little cookies, didja?!!"
I accidentally talked to a Islam! I have the halal now! OH NOES! I can't eat BACON!
