I'm not actually invisible, right?

Last night there was a huge storm through! The windows were rattling and the noise outside was incredible. I've been awake since four in the morning, it was impossible to sleep ( Read more... )

invisibility, storm, fever

People probably just pretend not to see you 'coz you think you're a wizard, bro. Its like. The Hobo Effect.

Hallo, I haven't met you yet. I'm Hugo, what's your name?

Am I the first wizard you've met here, then? Odd, that. This Internet place is crawling with us! If you look around I'm sure you'll find more.

Badou Nails.

I met a girl who thinks she's a witch. Man, I don't look for crazies, they just find me.

That's an interesting name.

Right, well, there are a few of us. Who was the witch you met? Maybe I know her.

Er. I don't mean to be rude, but actually, it's you who've found me. Pleased to meet you, by the way, even if you do think I'm odd.

Yep. I definately see you, Buddy. No invisibility upon you.

Oh. Good. Except, why are people round here having trouble with it, then?
Bollocks.
Maybe it's a nasty hex or something.
Perhaps I'll ask Madam Pomfrey if it doesn't clear up, then.

Could be, I hear those hexes are nasty things.

Mmm, it shouldn't surprise me.
Perhaps Rosie did it. She's my older sister.

Warm soup and plenty of fluids are good for any flu, I'd imagine. Even the wizard kind.

Do you think so?
I've always heard "starve a fever" and whatnot, so I skipped breakfast and hoped that should do the trick.
I am a bit thirsty, though. Perhaps I'll have some juice at lunchtime.
Thanks for the advice!

Nah, that's old folk stories. At least they don't use leeches anymore.

Leeches? What on earth did they ever use those for? Eurgh.

Hallo. I haven't met you yet, have I?
My name's Hugo.
Erm. I don't quite understand the Internet faces and whatnot, but I'll wager that one is meant to be sarcastic, right?
I suppose you must be a muggle, then? It would sound odd to you if you are, but really, I'm sure it happens to other people sometimes.
Perhaps not muggles, though, I'm not very sure. I'll have to ask some day during Muggle Studies.

You're quite visible -- but of course, we can't actually see you. ^_~ That is odd though. Owling your mum does sound like a good idea though, Hermione does seem to know a bit of everything.

Oh. Right. I suppose I can't actually see you, either. Bollocks. How will I know, then? I tried doing what Mr. Malfoy said and telling the Headmistress what I'd done wrong, only I don't know if she couldn't see me or if ignoring me was her form of punishment. She's a bit difficult to read at times, do you know?

I did owl Mum. She thinks I'm imagining things, which is what she usually says, really. She says I ought to get a bit of rest and let the fever break, but that's just Mum talk of course, and it only means she can't be fucked to come up with a real answer.

She did send some ever-ice chips, though, which was nice of her.

I owled An some biscuits, too, by the way! I hope that she does get them, that would be brilliant.

Er. Can you see your reflection in the mirror? Perhaps that's a silly question. ...Wait. Who's Headmistress for you?

Well, after so many years of dealing with your father... I can't say I exactly blame her. XDD

She should, I've owled her things before.

I haven't got a mirror. I suppose I could look in the baths, only it seems far away. I'm a bit dizzy, I'll just stay here for a bit.

A witch called McGonnagal. She was herewhen you were, wasn't she?

Ah, well. Mum is busy, so that's all right. At least I could reach her by owl, so there's that.

Wicked! I sent her buscits, which I suspect was rather stupid, only I had nothing else to send.
