The Bow: *chuckle* Yes, someone (I honestly can't remember who, but I think it was one of the boys?) came up to me early in the day and said something like, "Pretty Kitty!" and proceeded to tie my sash into a big, loopy bow.
After about ten seconds of righteous indignation I proceeded to pretend to wash my furry head like a cat.
*mimes licking the back hand and rubbing it against fur hat*
*grins*
And while I am uncertain as to how to make this fly with TPTB at Northern, we're going to have to find a way to convince them. Honestly, we should open our negotiations by simply sending them the video of "The Progress of Fur, Leather, Wool and Feathers w/ the Big BOOM BOOM BOOM".
YAY, I've been waiting to see your pictures and hear tales from the invasion. (There will be tales, won't there? There MUST be tales!!!!)
Seriously though. This event may become an annual thing.
OMG, if it does I am DEFINITELY coming out. I wanted to come out this year, but the $$$ just wasn't there. But I'm finally caught up on everything from my 2 years of un/underemployment, so next year is doable. Heck, September might even be doable!
Yes, there will be tales...just as soon as WORK STOPS STOMPING ON ME. *sigh*
Don't get me wrong, I love it here. I just wish I had *one* desk to cover instead of 1.75+.
And the annual thing? Pretty sure it's going to happen. Mostly because the fahnlein that hosted this beast (Kriegshund) lost a member the following weekend to cancer; sort of driving home the point that life is Way Too Fucking Short and we don't get to see each other often enough...
I hear ya! I've had a hectic couple of weeks myself. *paddles faster* No pressure, I just wanted to let you know that folks are still reading what you post here.

Oh man, that sucks. One of the things that's tough about following a couple of different reenactment groups on Facebook is that every now and then one will post that they've lost someone, then people start posting memories, and the next thing I know I'm bawling over losing someone that I've never even met. =(
