I suspect that the ESPN cover is 'enhanced' via water-stripping and highlighting (thank YOU Photoshop!) but the second two images are probably pretty accurate ideas of her overall tone/muscle. Then again, the second image is also for a weigh-in, so I am sure she doesn't look like this every day of the week. ;)

Actually, looking at the first photo, I don't think they manipulated her much. There are a lot of lighting tricks there, to be certain, but comparing the first two images, I'd say beyond the lighting, all they probably did was smooth out her skin to make it even in color, but that's about it.

She does look fine and fit and very attractive; a strong, healthy *woman*. And I agree, I think your figure could look like this, from what I remember from days gone by. :-)

Thank you for the vote of confidence and the observations C, much appreciated! I am currently in the process of working out what my work-out will be since my doctor slapped my proverbial hand about all the running I have been doing (and since my back and leg feel like they've been slapping each other about it too, I am looking into alternative forms of cardio that won't strip my wallet for gym memberships).

I have thoughts, we'll see what works out best in my schedule and budget. ;)

Is there a donation option? Or was I not remembering that correctly.

You mean to get into the event? I cannot recall but I don't think so. There is some variation on the cost depending on how many folks you register in your team, and all proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/).

On the other hand, I am going to be working out a donation option for my training schedule - which will be both to encourage me to work my ass off and to raise money for Random Acts and the Hope 2 Haiti (2) project I plan on participating in this coming June.

More on that later... ;)

OK, you need to post progress, because other people exercising inspires me to keep taking care of my body.

Oh honey, we'll plant you anywhere you need to be at MAAS - whether minding someone's booth or at the tavern doing fingerloop braiding, etc.

It's gonna be a busy September!

I know you will take care of me BB, thank you! *hugs* And of course, if I am braiding at the tavern then I can keep you company too.

Will do sweetie! Still working on how that will be formatted since I tend to track in a few different areas (running at WalkJogRun, food intake/general exercise at CalorieKing, etc.).

Then there is the matter of trying to encourage folks to help with donations for my H2H2 fund by setting up fitness goals/challenges for myself in preparation for Tough Mudder...

*cheerleads*

Also, I have to show Demi those inspiration photos. (Or maybe I shouldn't. I will have work to do to keep up with that!)

So does she - I've already encouraged her to connect with you to work out what kind of training will be most useful.

*chuckle* Honey child, you could lift weights all day long and never bulk up like that - you've got a lean physique and one that isn't given to that kind of heavy musculature. (And that isn't a complaint, you are hot like burning with your yoga abs and defined arms and legs *grin*).

Demi and I, on the other hand, will never be able to swan around in a sheath dress the way you can. ;) It's OK, we're all different and all working with our own bodies to our best advantage! :D

Send Demi my way, I can certainly share what knowledge I have with her (which really is very catch-as-catch can; but I hope to add to it with some reading soon!).

Has she checked out the actual Tough Mudder training vid yet? It is a 'man's workout' (*a lot of upper body) but it gives a good base and some serious challenges!

I think you can too, Sissy. I've seen great changes from a good training regimen, and if I hadn't bloated up so huge for so many years, I'd be rocking a six pack now.

Instead, I just have the side cuts, with the center definition masked by jiggly ugliness.

From what I have read it is actually pretty hard for women past 30 to have a set of six-pack abs (like, you have to have almost no body fat and a seriously hard-core exercise routine). It has something to do with the way that women naturally store extra fat in their mid-belly region.

Fucking nature. *chuckle*

Of course, that won't stop me from trying! *grin*
