At the doctors...

I hate going to the doctor... You know... Waiting in the waiting room for nearly an hour before going to the actual room where you get to see the doctor. Again after waiting another 30 minutes in this room before actually seeing him. You think I would get used to it, but it really pisses me off waiting almost 1 1/2 hours after your SCHEDULED ( Read more... )

Agreed on the annoyance thing. Then, to top it off, what's worse is when they talk to you, they don't even look at you; they're looking at the computer, or the charts, or whatever else paperwork is in front of them as they ask you the "how are you" question, to which I actually wonder if they really care about the response...

HMOs have ruined the doctor-patient relationship.

I don't envy you the wait. I've been lucky in that respect that I usually get in right away at my doctor's office.

.. it's a great pic though :)

Geez, I was rude, wasn't I! I certainly hope you start feeling better soon. Hugs!

I was having ear problems a couple times this year so my Doc sends me to an ENT specialist. I wait 10 mins in waiting room and 5 mins in exam room and he uses a tiny vacum to clean my eard and put drops in. I'm LOVING HIM! (not cute but who cares, he knows customer service!)

Hope your problems clear!

I hate that and it's one of the biggest reasons I wait so long to go to the doctor's office. When people say to me, "Why don't you just go to the doctor?", I always remind them that 'diagnose' is doctor speak for 'guess'. I've been misdiagnosed several times for small stuff. Good thing I live close enough to Mexico that I can go get my own treatment. :-)

Same thing happened to me yesterday, but I was going in for some Lunesta (sleeping pills). The chair you were sitting in looks way more comfortable than the one I had. I had one of those hard plastic chairs.

yeah it was very comfortable... he was probably getting a lot of complaints about the long wait times so he put in a nice recliner in the office! :)
