Rex mounted the steps at the back of the villa. He was still sore from the beating he'd been given earlier, when he'd failed their command and only bitten the slave girl, not ripped her to shreds. The pain wasn't new. He'd been beaten before, and worse, and harder. But not since -- not since the Kildar. The Kildar would take pride in that; and the others at the caravanserai would think Rex should be grateful. Had the Kildar not rescued them from the brothels from which they were destined? Did not he give them clothes, and rooms of their own, and catalogs from which to shop? He was, in truth, the finest man to ever own a whore, a girl, a dog. Truly, Rex knew how much the Kildar was owed. And some day, he meant to pay him in full.

Rex stayed with the girls in the harem by day, and accompanied them to the Kildar's door. The Kildar almost never let Rex in, and he never, ever let Rex stay in the room afterwards, when the Kildar slept. They knew each other too well for that.

And CONGRATULATIONS. I have a tentative defense date for the MA in May. Still no signs of a PhD program though.

I've always loved your story about Londo and G'Kar and the time they woke up naked and hung over together.

(In all seriousness, I'd love to see what you would do with those two characters in a serious story, but I don't think that would fit what you're looking for, somehow.)

That was always my favorite of Londo's lines from the show: "There comes a time when you look into the mirror and you realize that what you see is all that you will ever be. Then you accept it. Or you kill yourself. ...or you stop looking into mirrors."

The large array of screens was on when Tim swung by the clocktower. Barbara was away from her desktop, and it was strange to see her not there and her wheelchair empty. She was leaning back on the couch, her hands steepled under her chin, and watching the displays intently. Yay!

I have realized that I am an absolute *sucker* for Tim/Babs, but only if they have brainsex. Betty and I were chatting about the pairing, and she noted that if they ever did sleep together, they would do it once, it would be very very awkward, and then they'd really not be comfortable with each other afterwards.

Oddly, my OTPs are not so much me just wanting to smoosh them together as me loving that character dynamic and wanting to see more of it. ...possibly by smooshing them together.
