A/N:  I immediately thought of Wash Away Those Years by Creed when I saw the prompt so that's what inspired this.

How heartbreaking for Harry--of course, I can't imagine his hearing of Ginny's sixth-year troubles without breaking down himself.

And minor nit--it's "past", not "passed".

I imagine he had a hard time dealing with what she said.

is it past? I always thought that term was used as the "past" and that "passed" was used for "getting beyond something"

It's kind of a subtle distinction. But "passed" is a different part of speech (Curse you, English skills! Why must you leave me when I'm trying to have an erudite conversation?) than "past".

I passed that.

I got past that.
