Summary/Other Info: Jace should have told Alec the truth before now. He knows that. Is it really too late to make it right?? This is drabble 1 of a 31 drabble series called The Christmas Wedding Also, this is my very first time writing this fandom and I've only read the first couple books so please...be gentle. <3

The party had grown uninteresting, boring really. Jace had tired of all the small talk. The suit he was wearing felt stifling and he knew he needed an escape.
Usually, Magnus’ parties proved far more entertaining but tonight seemed to be the exception or perhaps Jace was just distracted. Perhaps he was distracted by Magnus’ big announcement.
Jace always knew Alec would come out eventually but he’d never dreamed it’d be like this. Magnus’ words still rang loudly, those words announcing the warlock’s engagement to Alec, his Alec.
Jace was brokenhearted, so Jace did what Jace did best… he ran.
