That was lovely, really original, beautifully written. I loved the fact that Regulus thought that Harry was a Death Eater. Liked the whole ambiguity about Regulus's Horcrux too.

Thank you

Thank you! I'd had the basic idea for the story when I claimed the card, but never seemed to get anywhere with it, until I had the Death Eater idea. After that, the interaction had something to build on, and the rest of it fell into place.

He'd just used an incantation as a verb, something he found repulsively vulgar.

It's little things like this that just add to the brilliance of an already brilliant story. Now, given really how closely this Regulus fits the interpretation of the card WORD FOR WORD you wouldn't think I was surprised by him and Harry falling in love, but... I was continually delighted by the turns and twists in this and it just was so great I've lost my handle on my grammar now.

Lovely.

Thank you! I claimed this one because I looked at the proposed character and thought "I don't see how Regulus ..." and then suddenly didsee how Regulus could fit the description given, and wanted to work with that.

And thank you for your work on the fest. I should have time to actually read some of it, now. Oh, except I've signed up for this RPG.... ;-)

*uses Sirius icon, just to be contrary*

*laughs* There is indeed some very nice fic in the fest. If you're short on time, at least ogle the art!

This was excellent! It seems like it must have been very difficult to work out the plot - it was so tricky! And I didn't anticipate a lot of the twists and turns. Very satisfying!

I've had the basic idea in my head for months, but finally worked out the actual plot over two days (two weeks ago), with rushes back to my computer from the shower, bed, etc., and then refined the details in the forced contemplation of air travel. Once I could actually write again, I had to restrain myself, because I had worked out so many things that are irrelevant to the story, like the dynamics of the culture clash between Hermione and Regulus, and that they are wrong about Nagini. ;-)

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh? ::is intrigued:: I loved the plot of this and Regalus' logic and Harry being sneaky. If you had more...sequel? =D

Thanks! When this was mostly finished, I realized I'd written a former Death Eater who dislikes strife. (Essentially, Lore asked me why it mattered what Ron and Hermione thought of Regulus, if they didn't do anything, and I said that Regulus was sensitive to discord and would note it.) That was weird, but gave me a good feeling of knowing the character.

I'm afraid Harry comes across as rather passive, but there's a lot going in his head, really. ;-)

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this. Reg is one of my favorite characters, perhaps because we know so little about him but that (I believe) he redeemed himself in the end. I love how Reg's character fit with the card so well, and the DE stuff with Harry was priceless.

I liked it a lot.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun making a canon-supportable Regulus really fit the card. In the matter of bastard-DE!Harry, his logic is impeccable, although his conclusions are entirely wrong. ;-)

I haven't really done anything with Regulus before. Sirius is my usual one of the Black brothers.
