Gah, Bellatrix is so freakin' insane. It's very interesting how the Longbottoms don't say a word (well, apart from the screaming), compared to all of the Death Eaters' threats and crazy talk.

I just couldn't have the Longbottoms tortured to that extent without showing some sort of Gryffindor courage. In my mind I see them stronger than the Death Eaters simply because they survived - broken, but alive. Even after Bellatrix had her way with them.

Sometimes I feel a bit wierd writing dark fic, simply because it is so unpleasant to read. But...part of me secretly enjoys it. (sshh!)

Yes, Bella was supposed to be frightening. I see her (pre-Azkaban) as one of those (probably stereotypical but what the hell) beautifully evil women who use their sex appeal in combination with their mind and generally wreak havoc upon those who get in their way.
