Lisa visits St. Mungo's

Jul 02, 2007 01:17

Lisa walked in through the window of Purge and Dowse, Ltd., to St. Mungo's. She was a woman on a mission, some might say it's an impossible mission but Lisa had to do it out of the kindness of her heart... even if it might blow up in her face. She marched up to the receptionist's desk, Patricia was working again. So good to see her ( Read more... )

Susan was making her rounds through the ward, checking on patients that could be signed out soon for minor injuries.

She looked up from her clipboard and frowned as she saw a farmiliar face heading into the ward.

"Lisa?" she asked as she left the clipboard and started toward her. "What are you doing here? Is something wrong?"

Lisa didn't have to go very far to find Susan, especially when she came directly towards her. Her question gave her many openings, Lisa spent a minute deciding just how she would reply. 'Mike's partner called just now, thought I'd tell you that he died during his training.' was her favorite so far.

"What? No, it's all good." She almost had to sigh, Lisa was too nice for her own good. "I just came to talk to you... are you busy?"

Susan furrowed her brow and nodded. "What'd you want to talk about?" she asked as she led the way back out of the ward.

Lisa hooked her thumb on the two front loops of her jeans, following Susan out. "Nothing serious, just wondering if you're free on Saturday."

Maybe what Lisa had to say was possibly serious, and it could possibly be seen as Lisa being terribly delusional. It was a little awkward, she's never had a real conversation with Susan before, even in school.

Once out of Susan's office, it felt like whatever tension that was built up around her vanished. If Lisa had wings, she'd spread them and fly far away from here. Maybe she'll stop by a grocery store on her way home and pick up a RedBull.

Lisa looked around, she was in a part of St. Mungo's she wasn't all too familiar with, doors with names on them all around her... she was surrounded by offices of healers and she had to admit, she wasn't paying much attention when Susan brought her here - she just followed. Lisa walked slowly down the hallway, looking around, hoping that there were signs that led her back out to the reception area.

She didn't even notice that there was a young healer coming her way.

Mandy had her head down, reading though the chart in her hands. It was an unusual case, and Mandy wasn't quite sure how to treat it yet. She lowered the chart from her face and stopped dead, inches away from a young lady.

"Sorry, are you lost?" Mandy said, a smile playing on her lips, knowing how easy it was to get lost in the large hospital. "I'm Healer Brocklehurst, I'd be happy to direct you."

Lisa looked back down and came face to face with the healer. If she didn't stop any sooner, she would've bumped into the woman. It would have been even more embarrassment for her. Brocklehurst. That's the same last name as Mandy. Lisa had to pause, Wait. Healer. Mandy. "Mandy!"

"Yes." Mandy looked puzzled, how did she know this woman? She could have met her anywhere, Hogwarts, America, or she could be a mother of one of her patients. "I'm sorry, I don't seem to recall your name."
