Dora had been napping when the owl found him. After he wrote her a note, saying that he would be back later and that she shouldn't worry, he grabbed his traveling cloak and apparated close by to the park.

He knew well enough which bench Harry was talking about, and he walked over at once as he kept his hands deep in his pockets. There was a nagging need to pull out the pack of cigarettes he could feel in there, but for now he didn't. Maybe later, he thought to himself.

"Hello," he said quietly to not startle Harry once he reached him.

"Hello," Harry said in reply as he looked up and offered the bottle. He couldn't quite fake a smile, but then Remus was the last person in the world who would want him too. They were never very good at faking emotions with each other.

"I'm officially no longer responsible for upholding Wizarding law." That did make a bit of a smirk appear on his face. He wasn't sure if that smirk was his father's, godfather's, or Remus's. Perhaps it was a true Marauder's smirk. That sounded about right. "Bit chilly of a night, yeah? I thought we could do something to warm up." He had a feeling Remus would know exactly what he was referring too.

Remus shook his head slightly when the bottle was offered first, and he took a seat next to him.

As soon as he finished talking, though, and he took in that smirk, he forgot about his early refusal and took the bottle. He did know exactly what Harry meant, and he could feel his cautious side step back for now. In its place there was the Marauder that Harry hadn't exactly met, because that part of him only came out in glimpses every now and then.

After taking a couple of sips of whiskey, a smirk of his own tugged at the corners of his lips. "I think that is a fantastic idea. And what better way to celebrate that you are free from having to uphold the Wizarding law, yes?"
