Oh my, this is wonderful.

There is no room for innocence in his world, and virgins are useful only as sacrifices, and Minerva has always known this.
How true.

His hands wander lightly over his shoulders - I think you meant her shoulders, dear.

For the rest, mm. They say demons cannot cross water. :)

I like that Tom experimented his Legilimency on her.

Chickadee, dude. What do you want me to write you Tom/Minerva for when you do it too well yourself? ;-) This is beautiful. You know all the symbolism just makes my little heart gleep. The garnet at her throat, the vision of the red eyes - so potent, esp with the repetition of the red color throughout. I love fic about the past because we know what happens. I read Hogwarts era Sirius/Remus occasionally for precisely this reason, the sting of knowledge lurking that makes the now, the past, so bittersweet. And that's exactly what you did here even though Tom/Minerva isn't canon like S/R. I'm starting to really like this pairing. Am pairing!slut, yes.

Wow, thank you! So glad you liked it. I still just want to eat up These Fruited Boughs with a spoon. I love playing with this pairing, both because of the future knowledge thing and because I can see the two of them brought together by shared intelligence and passion, and torn apart by that pesky good/evil thing. ♥

God, I loved this. Such beautiful writing, such beautiful imagery, and your Minerva taking on Tom is wonderful. I love the idea of Minerva as a not-sacrificial virgin, and all those images of her clothing are beautiful.

Pardon me, I seem to be gushing all over your fic. Sorry! Am off to friend you now, as I've been meaning to do so for months. Hope that's OK :).
