I finally 'attempted' to graduate from scarves and normal hats. My first attempt at cables, bobbles, counting stitches, etc. Not without much pain, several mistakes, but hey, I finished it!

She'd give it to you... She's very frustrated with 'old-age' gray underneath :-)

And no, from that photo angle, you can't see my mistakes -- mostly on the zig-zag small cables.. I am not entirely happy with my bobbles either -- I still can't figure out the 'knit into the back' stitches to tighten the back/reduce the hole size. Maybe next time!
