Oh bless! I'm so glad Ron did get Hugo what he wanted, and could admit who the broomstick was really for - a lot of parents do project onto their kids, but it's so nice to see Ron - who we know as being occasionally dense, stubborn & self-absorbed - realise it. He was recognisable as the character we love from the books, but you've shown he's also clearly matured with the years & experiences of fatherhood. And poor Hugo, wanting to make his dad proud but also wanting to be himself! A sweet & lovely story. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you think I did Ron justice. I love him and that's what I was hoping to achieve but never quite sure if he'd turn out that way in so few words. I like to think that dad Ron is still the same Ron we know and love, but that he's definitely matured and isn't always clueless. I'm happy you enjoyed this story :D

I love that Hugo takes after his Mum and doesn't want to disappoint his Dad. Ron is such an awesome dad!! Great story!
