I'm very glad that you enjoyed this. (Thank you for mentioning warnings when you talked about it. I can't believe I forgot to put them in.)

I'm really pleased to hear that you liked the plot.

This story is plotty, clever and thoughtfully written - I wish I could write a story like this! I find myself partial to stories about Hogwarts in DH, just for stories of ordinary kids rising up to be awesome, like in this fic. I particularly enjoyed the humorous bits as well. It's all so well-rounded, from the reflections of losing family to war and the ingenuity of the students in doing their own bit against the DEs. I really liked 'the Hufflepuff perpsective' as well, and the doubt about Summersby's allegiance was a satisfyingly chilling touch. Great work!

Thank you for your reveiw. I'm glad you liked all the parts. I wondered how the serious bits would jell with my attempts to be light and funny. I love writing about the Hufflepuffs. I find them very congenial. I'm glad you liked them too.

Thank you for your encouraging words.

What a WOW story! You didn't shortcut anywhere. This was well developed throughout from the friendship of all of the girls through the special bond that Hannah an susan share. I appreciate that the girls are each different as is the way they cope with what happened to Mrs. Abbot and the Bones' family. The nutter began as subtly creepy to a real menace ( ... )

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your comments. It's not from lack of appreciation I assure you. I felt very honored by your words. Many of the items you touched on were one I debated over the merits of my portrayal so it was very gratifying to see your reaction. I have always respected your opinions and comments as I encountered them in fandom so its a thrill to read what you've written here. Thank you for your enthusiasm for this story.

Nice to see some Hufflepuffs in action and just interacting, and the DA having a struggle too -- I rather like Susan (given what little we saw of her in the books), so good to see her in action, and the Summersby plot was intriguing!

Thanks for your comments. Susan was one character I would have liked to see more of in the books. I was interested in her from the begining when I saw her name was Bones, and heard others speak of the family. I'm glad the Summersby plot worked for you.

I enjoyed this. It's funny, it didn't occur to me at all that Summersby might betray them until the Nutter planted the seeds of doubt, but after that I kept wondering right to the end.

Lovely to see the Hufflepuffs fleshed out - and I enjoyed the cameos from Snape, McGonagall and Sprout at the end.

Thanks for your comments and your kind rec too. I was very pleased to see them both. I'm really glad you liked the story and that distrusting Summersby came as a surprise to you. That's what I wanted to have happen.
