What a lovely fic!

It's an interesting tale, a lot of times I gloss over how surviving affects other people, so I really enjoyed reading this perspective!

When he finally leaves the graveyard, he doesn't look back once.

Reading this filled me with such great melancholy... very fabulous, o' mystery author. I think you nailed the main issues of Snape's life and surviving with each conversation... the last bit - I almost want to burst into tears, because it's so sad - and yet, wonderful, that he will be moving on. It can't have been an easy decision for him, and yet I think it will turn out well. I hope it will - for him, and Draco, too.

This is really beautiful. Well done!

Oh, Snape. I wish he'd had these conversations even if he still ended up dead in the end. Draco and McGonagall stood out in particular. I love how it didn't even occur to Snape that he had an effect on other people. That seems so perfectly in character for him. And the little snapshot of Draco was surprisingly heartwrenching, given how indifferent I am to him most of the time.
