Oof, heartbreaking memories of Halloween! Poor Harry. Glad he got to go off to Hogwarts and start semi-enjoying Halloween (save a troll and some other things (; ).

Love the brotherly reunion! That Harry is hesitant and wary, but Dudley understands it and accepts it to be the right response and hopes for more anyway. I hope it's the start of an excellent new Halloween tradition for both of them.

It's amazing that Harry emerged as loving as he is. I like to imagine that this visit is canon a few years down the road.

Awww! I love how this builds up to them coming to some sort of peace in their own way. I always imagined that any peace between them would be tense but I hate the JK idea of it always being silent. This is lovely. Fills a whole life into so little words. Thank you!
