Portrait!Snape is wonderfully voiced. I love that he retains his sharp Snapian self but has changed (or perhaps allowed himself to reveal aspects of his character he had to hide in life.) And he's still a teacher.
The idea that, for Albus, facing his fears includes allowing himself to be sorted into Slytherin is a wonderful conceit. One imagines that it would be very hard for him, even if his parents tried to shielf him from anti-Slytherin sentiment. He's such a believable child--plucky (in the best sense of the word) and fearful at turns.
I like the way the initial meeting between Malfoy and Potter harks back to their fathers' meeting while implying that Malfoy fils and Albus Potter could become friends the same way Ron Weasley and Harry Potter did.
