Who: Ally - Anyone who either see's or read her Journal and wants to come after her. ( CLOSED ) Where: Forbidden Forest When: Early in the morning, 6am. Notes/Warnings: None.
This was bloody mad. Al had to wonder what the hell he thought he was doing, running around in the Forbidden Forest so early in the morning. He should have gone to a Professor, hell-- he should have got to the Headmaster.
But-- Ally..
There had been no time-- he'd only just found her journal entry when he heard her leave the common room and-- what if something had happened to her? He couldn't wait! It wasn't right, it wasn't..
"..Ally?" he called out into the vastness of the forest. Dead silence met him, not even the birds were calling.
If James could see him now, he'd probably say he was doing a very Gryffindor thing.
"..AL?" The voice sounded distant. She was most likely deeper in to the forest than him but the echo had carried his voice to her.
When she heard his voice she thought for a moment that maybe the forest was playing tricks on her. She had been wandering around for some time now and began to get lost.
She wasn't even sure if he could hear her voice now as she called out. Maybe he could help her! Why she hadn't bothered to ask for his assistance in the first place ... it was then that she was cut off from her own thoughts as something grabbed her leg. It felt like a vine but she had no time to even look down as it pulled her to the ground and began yanking her across the forest floor.
Her cry made him jerk, head snapping around to search for the source. The way the echoes worked in the forest, it was like she was screaming from all directions...
"ALLY!" he called for her again, his breathing growing hard as his heart began to beat erratically.
He didn't have time to second guess, he chose a direction, and charged towards it, hand clutching his wand so hard he was surprised it didn't break.
"ALLY!" It was a miracle he'd found her, he knew this, and wasted no time; his wand-hand shot forward, a strangled cry of, "Incendio!" flying from his lips before he could even think of the curse.
A bright light came from the tip of his wand and he watched in half-horror, half-awe as the venus-flytrap-like creature recoiled and withered from the curse.
A moment passed, just watching, mesmerized, as if he couldn't quite grasp that he had done that. And then he was shaking his head, snapping himself out of his daze, and scrambling forward, reaching out to help Ally up

Ally had been meer seconds away from becoming the creatures snack. Her chest pounded with the rhythmic beat of her heart. It was hard to hear Al's voice over the sound pulsing in her ears. Tears slipped from her eyes as she launched herself at Al and threw her arms around him.
"IT WANTED TO EAT ME!" She said as if this was news to him as much as it was to her. She pulled back from the hug her eyes wide as ever. "Bloody hell Al it wanted to EAT me!!" She hugged him again repeating the words ' thank you ' about a million times.
After finally calming down a bit she let him go from her death grip and leaned against a tree. "Kat.. she could have.. what if that blasted thing..?" Her eyes scanned the area for anything that could have clued her in to if Kat had been there or not. Letting her head drop slightly she put both hands over her head.
"What was I thinking? Even if I did find Kat.. what was I going to do?! I couldn't even stop myself from being plant food! I knew a million ways to get out of that bloody mess but.. I

Victoire couldn't sleep, and in her early morning alertness, she grabbed at the journal beside her. Surely no one had written since last night, but maybe she'd make a few notes scribble some thoughts. But someone had written. That Slytherin girl, Ally, who Victoire had written to once or twice. She had a terrible privacy charm in her entry and... and was going to do something very stupid. Victoire cursed under her breath and rose from the bed. She threw a dressing gown over her pajamas and slipped on some shoes. As she exited the room a thousand thoughts plagued her

Du and James had agreed to go to the Forbidden Forest together early in the morning, and it was no problem for him really, he was used to waking up at the crack of dawn. At least at Hogwarts it wasn't his father with a blow horn waking him up.
The two boys walked with a quick pace toward the forest and before long were right at the edge, and Du immediately noticed a girl already there, in a night robe of all things to wear out here he thought. Like any knight in shining armour he quickly approached her and bowed gently.
"Bon matin, Mademoiselle. If I would be so rude to ask, why you are out..here? My..uh..James here says this place is dangerous.."
James yawned as they approached the forest. He preferred sleeping late and just getting into class on time. This getting up early thing was not his cup of tea. Still, it was to go into the Forbidden Forest, so it should be worth it.
He noticed Victoire standing at the forest edge for who knew what reason. What was this, a party? When Du bowed to his cousin, he rolled his eyes. This "be nice to girls" thing was getting tiresome. Plus, Victoire wasn't a girl; she's James' cousin.
"Hey Vic!" He grinned somewhat sheepishly at this possibility of being caught already. "Whatcha doing out here so early?"
Victoire was startled and let out a yelp when the two boys had come up behind her. She spun on her heels and instinctively wrapped her robe tighter around her body. One boy she didn't quite recognize, the other, her cousin James.
She turned to the boy she didn't recognize. "I'm looking for someone." She said shortly, despite the boy's recent courtesy.
"And you," she said as she turned to James, "If you say it's such a dangerous place, then why are you out here? Bet your Mum would be thrilled James, elated."
She gripped the bridge of her nose between her thumb and forefinger and sighed. "Are you here about that Ally girl, then?"
Victoire raised her eyebrows at James and sighed again. "No, I will not tell your mother, this time." She then smiled to herself, "And I don't think Teddy would care where I was running in my pajamas, not underwear, James. Really. Not everything is about underpants."
The smile disappeared as she returned to the matter at hand. Ally. "She, Ally, she got all upset in that journal business and from what I can tell took off into the forest with absolutely no thought to her own safety and for all I know could be kilometers into it by now." She turned back to the woods, and rubbed her arms, trying to work out the chill that had settled over her. "I don't even know her, you know? I just thought that maybe I could..." Her last words dropped off as she heard faint sounds coming from the woods. "I just don't know what to do."
He twitched slightly as the two conversed about unimportant things while he waited patiently to hear what the issue was with Ally, his foot tapped a little impatiently. Until the girl turned back to him and frowned, which caused his body to go still.
...took off into the forest..
Hearing those words made him feel a pain in his chest, and then he felt as though his heart would pound clear through his ribcage. Without a single word he rushed past the girl and nearly knocked her down, but without an apology, made his way into the forest. He wasn't concerned with running into any strange creatures as he reached under his clothes and pulled out something that shined in the very little light that penetrated the forest canopy, this is what he was trained for.
James had been about to respond when Du went charging past him. "Bloody hell, Frenchy! Stop doing that!"
Du was already disappearing into the trees. James decided Du was a selfish prat, trying to take all the fun away from him--especially when it had been James that offered to bring him here in the first place.
With a cheerful little wave to Victoire and a rather devious grin, he sprinted off into the trees to follow Du. James wasn't one to sit back and be left out, after all.
Victoire struggled to regain her balance after the french boy had rushed past her. She groped the air where James as just stood and followed him with her eyes into the woods.
"JAMES! JAMES SIRIUS POTTER! YOU GET BACK HERE! RIGHT NOW!" She screamed after him, stopping dead at the edge of the thicket. "JAMES! Please..." She knew she was talking to herself now. "I'll tell your mother... James..."
(OOC: I didn't know what James's middle name would be. I guessed.)
Rose was bored (as she often was, these days), so she decided to re-arrange her trunk. Halfway through, her diary fell roughly out of it's hiding place, landing open, with Ally's latest entry on the first page. Rose read through it quickly and became more worried by the minute. Even she, in first year, could easily brake the privacy charm, and the following words worried her even more. She jumped up immediately, threw the diary back into her trunk, and rushed out of the dorm.
She was rushing toward the entrance hall when she bumped into a Gryffindor second year she didn't know. "Hey!" she said, out of breath. "D'you know where James Potter is?" James was the first person she thought of to talk to about this. Unfortunately, the girl answered, "No, I don't. Sorry. I saw him going outside earlier, you might want to check down on the Quidditch..." The girl trailed off as Rose sprinted through the doors, hoping she hadn't missed the action.
"James!" Rose had finally caught up to him, just in time to see him fall off the huge troll's back. She ran toward him, looking around for the others at the same time. By the time she had reached James, who was on his back on the forest floor, she had noticed Ally and Al across the way, trying to revive Du, who was on his back in the same way as James.
Rose kneeled next to him and shook the boy's shoulders gently. His eyes were open, but not focussed. "James? James, come on," Rose pleaded. After a moment, James's eye locked onto Rose's own, and they grinned simultaniously.
"Come on, Jimmy," Rose said, laughing now. "Can you get up? Somehow, I don't think this is over." She offered her hand to help him off the ground.
Spells were flying everywhere. Trolls falling and getting back up, the earth shaking. Al was with Dureau and then he wasn't. More voices filled her ears as she watched a troll get taken down by none other than James. It wasn't till after she noticed Rose who had came to aid James, did she see something... not a troll
( ... )
Du was out cold for a while and missed James trying to bareback a troll like a rodeo cowboy and Ally taking down the attacking vine. But eventually his body stirred and he let out a pain-filled groan.
It took him a bit longer, and he pushed himself up with his good arm, if you could call it that, and glanced around the clearing anxiously until his vision came into focus.
He heard Ally's voice and actually managed a small grin while propping himself against the tree, his broken arm was held against his stomach tightly, and he responded to her statement weakly.
"That's how it always is with you, Alexandrea-be~"
He couldn't finish the name before he winced once again in pain.

Funny, irony.
