This seemed very much in canon, I can see Lavender whispering something so hurtful about Hermione, especially knowing Hermione's close tie to Ron.

That was lovely--very realistic that such a thing would have happened. I haven't forgiven Ron yet for the s*** he pulled in HBP.

I expect adult males to behave like adults, but a) Ron's no adult and b) I expect adult females to act like adults, too, and am just as frequently disappointed.

I'm not at all disappointed by this drabble, though. It's so teenager...

That sooooo sounds like Lavender. I don't like her much anymore. I mean, her dating Ron was HIS fault, but her bitchy posessiveness was hers alone.

I feel so bad for Hermione. She's his best friend. OF COURSE she has the most chance.
