Who's In For Edinburgh on 14th September?
lady_of_clunn and I have looked at the results of the poll, consulted our calendars, and she's made contact with possible venues. The best looking date for a meet-up seems to be the weekend of the 14th September. The most popular city to meet in is Edinburgh.
We are looking to book somewhere to fangirl/boy together on the Saturday night. We are also thinking about doing a Harry Potter tour of the city during the day on Saturday. We can keep things open for anyone who wants to organise large or small groups doing anything else on the Friday night and Sunday morning.
Obviously, some of our activities will be adult in tone, but lady_of_clunn and I will both have under 16s with us as well, so some events and activities will be family-friendly. Anyone else who wants to bring their kids along is welcome to as long as the kids are either old enough to be left alone on the Saturday night, or you can organise babysitting for them.
We need to get an idea of numbers so that we can book the right venue. Please can you comment to this post to let us know whether you are a 'yes', 'no' or 'maybe' for Saturday 14th. Please can you let your f-list know that this is going on, too, and link them to this post, so that we can try to gather as many people as possible. We are going to try to keep the costs down and the more people we divide the room hire between, the less it costs everyone.
This would also be a good place to comment if you have any ideas for activities on the Saturday night(do you want games, quizzes or other fun stuffs?) and things to do for the rest of the time.
