Who's In For Edinburgh on 14th September?

lady_of_clunn and I have looked at the results of the poll, consulted our calendars, and she's made contact with possible venues. The best looking date for a meet-up seems to be the weekend of the 14th September. The most popular city to meet in is Edinburgh

I'm a maybe, but a hopeful maybe. I was supposed to be going to a meet-up in June but it's been cancelled, so... maybe?

A couple of things, though - I'm disabled: would anyone be okay to push my wheelchair round if we went on a tour? Or, if that's not okay, making sure the Saturday night venue was close to a bus route or something? I know I'm needy - sorry. :(

Also, if anyone else was staying over-night somewhere, it might be cheaper to do it as a joint thing?

I'm sure the wheelchair won't be a problem and you'll have lots of volunteers to help with it. I certainly will (& I'm bringing a couple of girl guides with me who are very good at being helpful.)

We will sort out accommodation things later, but we'll certainly try to get reductions for block bookings and pair up people who want to room share and things like that.

The venues we are looking at are all central and thus close to hotels etc. I'll probably be driving up and so will have the car with me if that helps, too.

We will do whatever it takes to make this possible for you. I'd really like to meet you in person!

A friend of mine has reminded me she lives in Edinburgh, so while I'll probably organise a room for the Saturday night (if we're out all evening and she doesn't want to come out, it's a bit antisocial to arrive back at her house at 2am or something!) I'm now Very Nearly A Yes! :-)

We'll be coming from Surrey by train, so will be going past platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross in full costume. If anybody else is coming from this direction too and wants to meet there, that would be great!

I really want to say definitely yes at the moment but I don't think I can as various things are a bit up in the air at the moment. However, I'll put it in my diary and try to wangle things somehow.
