Raven's Housewarming Party
Somewhere in the Glacier Bay Wilderness on the Southern coast of Alaska-
There's a party going on. Welcome to Raven's house!
The door from the bar opens to one big room. Furniture divides it into vague entry, kitchen, and living areas. Here at the entry, there are rough pegs for coats on the wall, and a mat on the floor for shoes, should you be inclined to go barefoot.
At the back wall is the kitchen, tiled in clean dark stone. There are the usual accoutrements (oven, stove, refrigerator) but also the trappings of a party spread onto the counter and several small tables. Food and drink are there.
A set of wood and metal spiral stairs sits in the center of the room (and the house). The rest is the living area. Tonight it is filled with comfortable chairs and low couches, and there are lit candles on the scattered end-tables. There are shelves on most of the walls, filled with either books or ...stuff that may be better not examined too closely. Cushions are stacked neatly on the floor by the fireplace, and the flames inside give off flickering light and the scent of crushed herbs.
Instrumental music is playing softly, but there is no sign of any sound system, not even speakers.
