Eee, by Gum

It's been a week since the Sophie-gate incident, and she's made no attempt to get in touch with me. I guess I can bring this chapter to a close. I still think about her rather more than I'd like, but with a kind of bitter melancholy. Strangely, I had a dream about her last night; all I remember was that I'd sneaked into her parents' house, and for ( Read more... )

I just bought an Acer Aspire One. I looked at the EE PC and thought it looked as cheap as it was lol. the Acer is really nice, though could do with more RAM - I've got 1GB and it's a little slow at running XP sometimes.
It's pink too lol

The Eee comes in pink, too! I was just looking at the Aspire One, and various other netbooks, and there's very little in it really, in terms of specs. I think there are one or two that you can upgrade to 2GB of RAM, but the slow running speed of XP can most likely be attributed to the processor, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom. I'm still no closer to making a decision, though. There are a few inexpensive dual-core laptops; perhaps I should get one of those, and replace Vista with XP.

Hello there Christopher Eccleson! I'm currently using an EEEPC 1000 H. I tell you that the performance is rather okay but the main selling point is the convenience of having a decently powered laptop with you in a bag no smaller than my messenger bag. It's performance on 2GB of ram and a 300 GB HDD does tax the battery a bit. i get 3.45 hours of battery instead of the advertised 4.5. All in all it's a question of convenience also if you want a netbook that plays games you might wanna try the N10J here's the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220386
