Wow. Not a pairing I ever thought about, but somehow, it seems pretty right and cool. I forget that Dick is grieving, too, probably, somewhere in there, because he did lose everyone.

It's not a pairing I ever really thought about much, either, until empressvesica mentioned it and the idea for this fic just blossomed. Dick is a wonderful character, for all his faults, and he has had some amazingly insightful comments on the show. I'm glad you enjoyed this!

Thanks! I don't believe in instant relationships, or even instant sex with two people that traumtized. Well, Dick might bang everything that moves, but not Mac. They're an intriguing combination, and one I think very difficult to do well. Hopefully I did them justice. The next fic will inch them further along, and to me, the progress is most of the fun.

It is rather surreal, I have to say, but fun. S3 only has one very brief interaction between the two of them, sadly enough, and I think there should be more!
