Do you find that gen fics get overlooked because people prefer to read about pairings? Sometimes I'll skip gen fics, simply because it's not what I'm looking for at the time, or because most gen fic just doesn't do it for me - but then I end up missing out on some

Good rec! I really enjoyed the progression of small stories through time, leading to a nice crescendo. And I agree that the ending is a very nice touch - at that point the story becomes a complete thing rather than a series of (very well-written) vignettes.
