In the Formal Parlor

Mia takes a seat with a "thank you," looking around the lovely parlor.

"I know that well. With how much there is to do at the Guild, and Vane in general, it's very easy to get a bit lost in the works. It's very refreshing to take a little break from all of that, eager as I am to rebuild."

He pours her a cup of tea, smiling at the memory of how he'd practically have to force Door to take breaks once she got into the whirlwind of her work. Of course, she would have to do likewise if he became caught up in his own projects. They understood each other well, from the beginning.

"I find that all work and no play makes one a very dull, and tired, person indeed. Cream or sugar?" He offers her both.

And she takes a little of both with a "Yes, thank you."

She nods in agreement about the dull and tired parts.

"Milliways is wonderful for the play part. Even the little things are so nice. Like my friend Momiji. He insists that one day we have to play in the rain because I never have."

"Play in the rain? Door hasn't tried to tempt me into that. We've a meadow, though, that as far as we know only we Openers can get to. Going there for picnics is a tradition her father started. We go there to fly, on broomstick, of course, or to enjoy the sun as often as we can."
