SO I JUST NOW NOTICED THAT THIS ICON'S KEYWORDS ARE TYPOED. It says "Edgewroth" instead of "Edgeworth". I've had this icon for months and I never noticed and nobody ever mentioned it. I kinda feel like a moron now durrrrr. And I can't change it because that'll break all the comments and entries I've made with it and I use this icon an awful lot and ( Read more... )

I do that sometimes, too. Like leaving out key words in my... keywords. Or misspelling journal names and not noticing for a month and a half.

When I need sample ideas, I abuse "flipping through a book and stealing the setting" as well as "getting characters almost hit by cars."

I usually catch this kind of thing. Before it's been around for months at the very least. >_o

...Almost getting hit by a car is an idea to consider. The car would end up in much worse shape than Bulkhead would.

d'oh. Stupid brains not working all the time.

fffffff even if Bulkhead was made mortal/human? Yeah, I think my samples have been "at a grocery store as it was being held up," something else, "riding a bus and spotting a nearby mugging, at which point the mugger got his arms chopped off by character," and this time "nearly getting hit by a cab, hitting the cab and insulting the driver, then nearly getting hit by the cab again."

Well if it almost hits him it would obviously fail to actually hit him, while he would probably not do likewise to the poor car. I'm keeping his wrecking balls. And his strength. Nothing is safe.

These are interesting and exciting ideas! I shall keep such things in mind. I am usually pretty bad about coming up with prompts, so this is very helpful. I tend to be really downtime-focused.

That sounds like something I'd do, I'm bad at wording.

What's wrong with the computer?

Following a series of weird psuedoblackouts that only affected Mom's and my computers, my computer failed to boot Windows. It turns on, gives me a message about how Windows failed to boot properly, and any option I tell it to do, it gets to the point where it's supposed to be booting something up, and then it reboots and does it all over again. It doesn't seem to be a software problem, so something in the computer is physically broken, possibly the hard drive itself. Nothing confirmed, but. Nothing good, that's for sure.

Does sound like a hardware problem, which is unfortunate because I was hoping I'd be able to help, and I can't do much about that from a distance.

I don't think it'd be the hard drive though, not if it's actually restarting itself. Whatever electrical troubles you were having may have damaged something, I'd say either power supply or motherboard. My last motherboard was doing the same thing after a long list of other troubles, and I can speak from experience to how electrical stuff can fry a motherboard.

Have you worked out what was causing the blackouts? If you've got some kind of electrical problem in the house it could damage more stuff.

Hrrgh. Damn OotS. It's one of those comics I've always WANTED to get into, but can't for the following reasons.

1. Art. I usually have no problems with stick figures (I read XKCD okay) but for some reason I can't get through OotS. Normally comics have to be like Dresden Kodak or Dr. McNinja to hold my attention span. :|a
2. Writing. In some ways, OotS feels more like a series of short stories with some illustrations than it does a comic. It's VERY TL;DR
3. Time. I have no free time. Ever.

And yet at the same time I've always loved V, and I actually know what its power would be in CnC. Well, powers.

The first is that it'd cast spells like a DnD mage. Exactly like a DnD mage. I would give it a spells-per-day list, roll dice, the whole nine yards.

The second is gender confusion. XD People just go "Bwuh".
