SO I JUST NOW NOTICED THAT THIS ICON'S KEYWORDS ARE TYPOED. It says "Edgewroth" instead of "Edgeworth". I've had this icon for months and I never noticed and nobody ever mentioned it. When I need sample ideas, I abuse "flipping through a book and stealing the setting" as well as "getting characters almost hit by cars."

...Almost getting hit by a car is an idea to consider. The car would end up in much worse shape than Bulkhead would.

fffffff even if Bulkhead was made mortal/human? Yeah, I think my samples have been "at a grocery store as it was being held up," something else, "riding a bus and spotting a nearby mugging, at which point the mugger got his arms chopped off by character," and this time "nearly getting hit by a cab, hitting the cab and insulting the driver, then nearly getting hit by the cab again."

These are interesting and exciting ideas! I shall keep such things in mind. I am usually pretty bad about coming up with prompts, so this is very helpful. I tend to be really downtime-focused.

I like combining the two! Introspection in the beginning, as getting into the character's head is the main purpose, then have them jarred out of whatever they're doing by SUDDENLY, MUST DO HERO THINGS. I find it brings a nice balance / shows multiple facets of a character, and thus tends to be a "stronger" piece than just either "half" by itself.
