I think high speed rail is awesome. Second best part of Europe (Guinness Brewery being the first best...). We need more here, and California wants to spends tens of billions of dollars installing one. BUT they're talking about partnering with Chinese companies for technology and financing. NO! NOT CHINA!

I give thanks for friends and wool socks. Thanksgiving was Syracuse-Boston-Maine-Syracuse. I read at Lizard Lounge w/ the band Sunday night. I did one fun piece, then read the first 1/3 of my master's thesis draft. Not exactly a crowd-pleaser type of set, but it was fun to stretch out and read a 1/2 hour poem with the band.
